Our Mission

To empower volunteers to serve their communities,
meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.

The Lions Club, founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, is known for its motto: “WE SERVE.”

The Lions Club vision is to be a global leader in community and humanitarian services. Its volunteers serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with 1.3 million members in more than 45,000 clubs best known for fighting blindness, yet also aiding in caring for the environment, community projects, feeding the hungry and assisting seniors and the disabled.

The Bismarck Lions Club has been dedicated to helping meet the needs of the local community since its inception in 1921. All 100% of the funds raised go directly back into the community through needed services such as eye surgeries, exams and eyeglasses, guide dogs, and various service projects. The Bismarck Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month over lunch from 12:10 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club (930 N. Griffin St) Bismarck ND.

When I joined the Bismarck Lions Club, I found so much more than just a group of people volunteering. I found a family – friends who care as much about giving back as they do about lifting each other up. Being part of this club is more than meetings; it’s about sharing laughter, making memories, and knowing that together, we’re making a real difference. If you’re looking for a place to belong and a way to give back to Bismarck, come join us!
